Saying I Love You(or “How Can I Say I Love You” on Father, Son, Holy Ghost)

“A year ago today was the opening for my show Life Adjustment Center at Ratio 3 Gallery in San Francisco’s Mission. Christopher played an acoustic set in the gallery, and everyone sat down on the floor to listen. He had told me about doing a special set for me, and then he played all of these songs that I had never heard at the time. It was the best surprise ever. A lot of them ended up on the new GIRLS album, Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Here are some videos of his performance that night.” ––Ryan McGinley.

Ghoul Culture

dcpierson:

All of us in a race to be the most callous, stacking up boulders on the road that runs right into the center of ourselves.  If we can’t send out anything that might help anyone, nothing will ever come up that road and hurt us.

A voice screaming on the other side of the rock-pile:

“You will never catch me caring, much less being cared about.”

"It is the body that is old. Sometimes I am afraid I will break off a finger as one breaks a stick of chalk. And the spirit is no older and not much wiser.”
“You are wise.”
“No, that is the great fallacy, the wisdom of old men. They do not grow wise. They grow careful."

At the CoOp, we get most of our meat from a Hamilton dance teacher; he owns a farm, and brings us farm-fresh eggs and lamb/beef every once in a while.

But today, he also brought in a baby lamb.

LOOK AT THIS CREATURE. IS IT NOT THE MOST ADORABLE ANIMAL YOU HAVE EVER SEEN??!

His name is Oscar, and he’s an orphan.. Which is why Paris has been bringing him around everywhere.

He weighs 4 pounds, smells like soap, and makes the most adorable “baah” you’ve ever heard.

I CAN’T BELIEVE I MISSED THIS
